# Callmora pricing

> Callmora is a native macOS app for recording calls and turning them into transcripts, speaker-labeled notes, decisions, and to-dos. This file states the pricing in machine-readable form.

## Summary
- **Free trial:** 14 days, every feature unlocked.
- **Price after trial:** one-time **$99 USD**. No subscription.
- **Updates:** lifetime updates included in the one-time price.
- **Devices:** one license activates on up to **2 Macs** at a time; deactivate one to free its slot.

## What it costs each year, next to the alternatives
List prices as published in July 2026, for one person, before tax. Competitor figures use each product's cheapest published rate, which for Otter and Fireflies means paying a year up front.
- **Callmora:** $99 one-time → **$99 once, then nothing**. Audio is local by default; optional cloud transcription uses the user's own AssemblyAI key.
- **Otter Pro:** $16.99/month month-to-month, or $8.33/month billed annually → **about $100 a year, every year**. Cloud processing.
- **Fireflies Pro:** $18/seat/month month-to-month, or $10/seat/month billed annually → **$120 a year, per seat**. Cloud processing.
- **Granola:** $14/user/month, no annual plan to discount it → **$168 a year, per user**. Cloud processing.
- **MacWhisper Pro:** €64 one-time on macwhisper.com; $99.99 "Pro Lifetime" on the Mac App Store → **€64 once, then nothing**. Runs local Whisper models; its cloud AI options use the user's own provider setup.
- Callmora's cloud mode runs on the user's own API keys, paid directly to those providers; usage varies, so it isn't in these figures.

## What's included
- Every feature from day one — no seats, no tiers, no per-minute fees.
- Local + cloud transcription, automatic speaker diarization, AI summaries (decisions and action items), dictation, calendar auto-join, and iCloud sync.

## After the trial, if you don't buy
- New recordings and dictation pause.
- Every transcript and note you already made stays on your Mac — viewable and exportable as text anytime.

## Local mode (free forever after purchase)
- Transcription and speaker separation run entirely on your Mac, offline.
- No account, no API keys, nothing leaves the device.

## Cloud modes (opt-in, highest accuracy, on your own keys)
Out of the box nothing leaves the Mac. Two things can be switched on, both on the user's own key:
- **Cloud transcription:** uses **your own** AssemblyAI key; audio goes to AssemblyAI.
- **AI notes & chat:** send the transcript **text** to whichever model you configure — your own OpenAI, Gemini, or Claude key, AssemblyAI's LLM Gateway (which requires AssemblyAI's **paid** tier), or your own OpenAI-compatible endpoint, including a model running locally on your Mac.
- You pay those providers directly. Nothing ever passes through a Callmora server — there isn't one — and there is no Callmora subscription.
