What $99 gets you
- Every feature, from day one. No seats, no tiers, no per-minute fees — on-device and cloud transcription, speaker labels, AI summaries with decisions and to-dos, dictation, Calendar Join & Record, chat across every call, and iCloud sync.
- Two Macs. One license activates on up to 2 Macs at a time — your laptop and your desktop. Moving to a third is free: open Settings → About on the Mac you're retiring and choose Deactivate This Mac… to hand its slot back.
- Lifetime updates. New versions are included. There is no renewal and no subscription.
- No ongoing cost in local mode. Transcription and speaker separation run entirely on your Mac, forever, for nothing — offline, with no key and no account.
- Cloud modes are opt-in, on your own keys. Out of the box nothing leaves your Mac. If you turn them on: cloud transcription sends audio to AssemblyAI, and AI notes & chat send the transcript text to the model you configure — your own OpenAI, Gemini, or Claude key, or a fully local model through a custom endpoint. You pay those providers directly, and nothing ever passes through a Callmora server.
$99 once, next to a bill that comes back every year
Most meeting-notes tools are subscriptions, so the honest comparison is what lands on your card each year. Competitors are shown at their cheapest published rate — for Otter and Fireflies that means paying a year up front.
| How it's sold | What it costs each year | Audio stays on your Mac | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Callmora | $99 once — lifetime updates, 2 Macs | $99 once, then nothing | Yes — local by default, and it transcribes with no internet at all. Optional cloud transcription sends audio to AssemblyAI on your own key, never to a Callmora server |
| Otter Pro | $16.99/month month-to-month, or $8.33/month billed annually | About $100 a year, every year | No — audio is uploaded and processed in Otter's cloud |
| Fireflies Pro | $18/seat/month month-to-month, or $10/seat/month billed annually | $120 a year, per seat | No — audio is processed in Fireflies' cloud |
| Granola | $14/user/month — no annual plan to discount it | $168 a year, per user | No — captured on your Mac, then processed in the cloud |
| MacWhisper Pro | €64 once on macwhisper.com; $99.99 Pro Lifetime on the Mac App Store | €64 once, then nothing | Yes — local Whisper models run on your Mac; its cloud AI options use your own keys |
List prices as published in July 2026, for one person, before tax; competitor pricing changes and this page can fall behind. Callmora's cloud mode runs on your own API keys, which you pay those providers for directly — usage varies, so it isn't in the table.

The trial is the evaluation
Callmora runs free for 14 days with every feature unlocked — record your real calls, in your real languages, on your real Mac, in both local and cloud mode. By the time you pay there's nothing left to find out, which is why there are no refunds afterwards.
If you don't buy, new recordings and dictation pause — but every transcript and note you already made stays on your Mac, readable and exportable as text, whatever you decide.
Buying
Buy from inside the app when your trial ends, or get a license here. Lemon Squeezy is the merchant of record: they take the payment, handle sales tax and VAT, and email your license key — usually within a minute. Then open Callmora → Settings → About and paste the key in.
